Accent Pieces Are The Special Pieces

Accent pieces are the extra special pieces of furniture that make the statement about who you are, or what theme you're shooting for. They can add a spot of color or pattern, and say "look at me". An accent piece can be in total contrast to what else you have going on in the room.

Chairs, tables, standing mirrors or folding screens with a special paint technique or finish or upholstery job could be used as accent pieces. ( Not to mention a multitude of other objects and pieces of furniture.)
