Wall Decor

clocks

~ Funky Heart clock - This would be cute for a girls room or the powder room.

~ This "see through" clock could be finished several different ways. It's made from rings of MDF.

frames

~ Wallpapered Picture Frame - a great way to pull your wallpaper into the room.

~ Seed Beaded Picture Frame - Fast and easy project for wall decor.

~ Decoupage Picture Frame - This is the easiest way to customize a frame. Just get some Mod Podge or other decoupage medium and your favorite paper and have at it. You can use tissue paper, wrapping paper, paper napkins, wallpaper, handmade papers and even light weight fabrics. Painting the frame under the sheer tissue paper and napkins can enhance the look even more.

~ If you have an outdoor theme painting or print, use an old window that has multiple panes in it for the frame. Or put different photos in each pane, and make a family type collage.

wallhangings & mirrors

~ Here's a tile framed mirror - This is creative wall decor at it's best! Do a mosaic with smaller tiles rather than using the big ones. Or you could use rocks, seashells or marbles ( kids toys, baby shoes ) and throw in a few small mirrors ( all shapes and sizes) while you're at it. You could also put them around the edge ( where they show it painted black ), or trim it out with rope or something else that would be appropriate.

~ A quick and changeable wall hanging out of your favorite calendars.

~ Mirror backed Shadow Boxes.

~ Leaf Embellished Mirror - This one is really meant for the table. Think big! Make one for the wall with large tropical leaves!

~ Shadow Box Bamboo Vignette - This would be gret for a garden or Asian theme room.

~ Lighted Glamour Mirror - make your own! This would be great hung by the door, so you can take a last minute check before answering the door or going out.

~ You may not be into scrapbooking, but why not make a single scrapbook page, frame it and hang it on the wall? It looks much nicer than those standard collage frames with all the cutouts in one huge mat.
